The Surface That Defines the Room
Your countertop is the most visible and most used surface in the kitchen. It is where you prep meals, set groceries, and gather around with morning coffee. We install countertops in every material that makes sense for Northeast Georgia homes — and we build custom islands from the ground up when your kitchen needs a centerpiece.
Every installation starts with a precise template of your existing cabinetry or new cabinet layout. We coordinate directly with fabricators to ensure perfect fit, proper support, and clean seams. Back to our main kitchen remodeling page.

Natural Stone, Timeless Appeal
Granite remains one of the most popular countertop materials for good reason — it is heat-resistant, scratch-resistant, and every slab is unique. We source granite from regional fabricators, help you select a slab in person, and handle the full installation including sink cutouts and edge profiles. Sealed properly, granite countertops last decades with minimal maintenance.
"John and his Sons did a FANTASTIC job totally remodeling our entire 1600 sq ft daylight basement including a new kitchen in Lawrenceville, GA. From bringing in a huge dumpster and demolishing the old kitchen to helping me design what I wanted for our new downstairs kitchen including a beautiful granite bar."

Quartz countertops are engineered from natural stone and resin, producing a surface that never needs sealing, resists stains, and comes in a consistent color and pattern. If you want the look of marble without the maintenance, quartz is the answer. We install all major quartz brands and can match edges and profiles to your cabinet style.
"From start to finish, their team was professional, attentive, and skilled. They took the time to understand our vision, providing valuable insights that enhanced the final design. The craftsmanship is exceptional."

Butcher block brings warmth and a tactile quality that stone cannot replicate. We install it as a full countertop or as an accent — a butcher block island top paired with quartz perimeter counters is one of the most requested combinations we build. We also work with solid surface materials for homeowners who want seamless, integrated sinks and easy-to-repair surfaces.
"Fantastic crew. On-time, knowledgeable, masters of their craft, and they clean up continuously."

A Centerpiece Built From Scratch
Not every kitchen has room for an island — but when the layout supports one, it transforms how the space works. We design and build custom islands with features like integrated storage, electrical outlets, prep sinks, breakfast bar overhangs, and waterfall-edge countertops. Every island is built to match your existing cabinetry or serve as a deliberate contrast piece. Even compact kitchens can sometimes fit a narrow rolling island or a peninsula extension.
"We worked with JT&S on a major renovation that included a new deck, outdoor living area and pool, and a pool house. The project management, quality of work and follow-through were all outstanding."

Quartz is the most durable option we install — it is non-porous, does not require sealing, and resists stains and scratches. Granite is a close second and offers a natural stone look. We will walk you through the trade-offs during your consultation.
Once the template is complete and the slab is fabricated, installation typically takes one day. Template-to-install turnaround is usually two to three weeks depending on the fabricator's schedule.
In most cases, yes. We need a minimum of 36 to 42 inches of clearance on all sides of the island for safe traffic flow. We will measure your kitchen during the estimate and recommend the right size and configuration.
A waterfall edge is when the countertop material continues down the side of the island to the floor, creating a dramatic vertical slab. It is most commonly done with quartz or granite and gives the island a modern, high-end look.
Yes. Demo and disposal are included in our countertop installation pricing. We disconnect the sink, remove the old surface, and haul it away before installing the new material.
